The Bass Museum of Art was founded in 1963 around a private collection, when John and Johanna Bass generously donated their works of Renaissance and Baroque Art to the City of Miami Beach. Through this gift they perpetuated their love and appreciation of art; and more significantly, their unique vision of the world. Since its founding, the Bass Museum has had strong ties to private collections and today it continues with creative private-public collaborations to seek out the best ways to present great art.

This artist’s work is located in the intersection between photography, architecture, graphic design, sculpture and installation. With studies in architecture, Dávila has used several conceptual strategies from which he befuddles the function of the spaces in which he presents his work as well as the function of the media and the materials he uses.

The Contemporary Arts Center's mission is based on the notion that there is an inextricable link between art and life, and that connections are made through contemporary art.

We provide a space for reflection and dialogue, where the public can engage with artists, scholars, and each other around contemporary issues. We are committed to remaining the place where opportunity transcends boundaries.
